Blog Update And What Am I Upto

December has been worse ever. I have been dead busy with my part time job, exams and all. I couldn’t blog on a regular basis not because I was dead busy but also because I am learning affiliate marketing with bum marketing thingy. I have signed up for MoreNiche last month and since then I have been looking forward to learn how to sell products online.

Okay now let’s have a look at my blog statistics which this blog post is all about. This blog is running on full throttle for two months and 5 days. Contains 51 posts, 118 comments and uncountable spam comments! Without Akismet, I would have gone mad! It’s definitely the best wordpress plugin. My traffic is not that high so I get around 130 visitors a day and I have 25 RSS subscribers. No big numbers but not bad for a young blog right?

I made $50 from various personal ad sells and other forms of advertising. Adsense made me next to nothing so I quit.

I sold 1 SEO Book. The SEO Book affiliate program is great. The book sells well and you get $25 per sale and a $20 bonus to sign up! Because the payout limit is $50, you have to make 2 sells. Right now I’m waiting for my second sell so anybody just come and grab the book because its a must read for search engine optimization and honestly, its the greatest SEO Book ever. The cons are: blogging takes too much time and takes months of care. But that’s okay once you fall in love with blogging!

The answer to your question is: yes you should start blogging now. Blogging rocks!

All new 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

GM has finally revealed it’s all new 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The super car will hit the Detroit Auto Show in mid-January 2008.

The numbers are really amazing, 620 horsepower 595 pound-feet of torque will be delivered via its all-new LS9 engine – a 6.2 liter version of the chevy small-block V8 will be fitted with an intercooled supercharger and with a new close-ratio six speed manual with dual-disc clutch.

New 20” wheels and huge 15.5 brakes are the some other highlights.

The most amazing thing is that LS9 will be the first Corvette to be able to achieve a top speed of at least 200 mph!


LS9 looks simply gorgeous with all of it’s carbon fiber exterior, including wide front fenders, roof and a hood with a window which allows you a view of all the horses waiting for your order to roar.

The cockpit includes a 220 mph speedometer along with the sport bucket seats, leather trim, logo sill plates, embroidered headrests, navigation system and Bluetooth connectivity.

Although it is not yet clear how fast the car does 0-60 but it’s the lower 3 seconds.

Make Money With Kontera, Sign up to grab $25!

Have you been struggling to make penny from other ad networks? Have you been thinking to place content link ads on your blog but got rejected by Kontera? Well I guess I have a good news for you.

John Chow wrote an interesting post yesterday about the limited time offer provided by Kontera. Sign up before the new year and reach 50,000 impressions during your first month to grab $25 free!

What is Kontera?

Kontera is an advertising network which provides ads for your site without sacrificing any ad spot. It reads your post and turns keywords into an ad. The ads are then double underlined and an ad pops up if you hover your mouse pointer over it. The beauty of Kontera is that you can run the ads on the same page as Google Adsense without violating the Adsense terms of conditions.

JohnChow has also wondered why people don’t install the ad codes but just sign up! May be that’s because most of the webmasters have a handful of other ad networks to fuel their sites or blogs. Or they don’t get enough traffic to gain from the system. Why bother if you don’t get traffic? But again that depends on individuals. Whenever they see a brand new ad network they jump in and sign up for an account and then they somehow figure it’s not worth even if it is!

This is why Kontera wants new sign ups and the ad code to be installed on the sites. They want you to install the ad code right away and you have 30 days to reach 50,000 impressions and you get $25 for that. Just to clarify, you don’t need 50,000 uniques. All you need is 50,000 pages load with Kontera ads. Although I doubt how many blogs will reach the impression limit, it’s a good opportunity though to grab a Kontera account.

If you ask about barefly.com, Whoa! 50k impressions? Dude count me out! :p I have reached only 200 impressions so far!
