Webmasters these days are considering article marketing more and more as it indeed is worth the effort. Article marketing is a free method which can boost your sales and traffic of your site. Everyone knows how effective article marketing can be in order to bring in targeted traffic. It is one of the easiest ways to promote your website.

How it works?

Write articles relating to your website and submit them to article directories. Wait for the approval and if the article is published you have a life time back link, good stream of targeted traffic and more sales which eventually means more income. Publish more and more articles and as the list grows larger, your site gets more and more back links. Search engines are placing a lot of significance on incoming links from these articles and your site gets better ranks.

Search engines do not just index your website but they index published articles too. So once someone searches for a topic your site is about, the list of results will have your site and may even show the articles that you have written.

How targeted can the traffic be?

The good thing about articles is that you can write about anything that people would like to know. Write honest opinion and to the point information. Add a sales pitch, do it with a professional manner, get them excited and bang, You have a sale! All the traffic driven by article marketing is more targeted traffic.

How long it should take you to write an article?

To be a good article marketer you should think and type fast. You should spend only a few minutes of your time to write one article. It should take around 10-15 minutes to write an article but not more than 20 minutes otherwise you lose the game.

Things that all articles must have

Article marketing is not just about stuffing your site with articles. Articles have certain requirements. You should follow the requirements to obtain the maximum benefits an article can provide you. We are talking about converting the curious eyes into sales. Even if they like what you say, they might get you few extra sales by recommending you to their friends and family.

Keywords and keyword phrases.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. If you happen to have a site related to sound systems for an example, you must have some keywords and keyword phrases targeted to. There are many tools in the internet which can help you to find out the keyword you should target to.

Keyword density

A good quality seo optimized article must have a good keyword density for a search engine to index it higher. Consider at least ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in an article. Keyword density is important. Keep a density that is not too high neither too low.

Honest words and good content

Build trust in your readers and you can convert them into sales. Write good informative articles. Don’t write craps. Let them know the truth and provide help for their needs. Write with correct spelling and good grammar. Recheck your article before you submit it.

Instead of writing long paragraphs write some points, statistics, facts and figures. I have an article published around a week ago which has tons of good information, points, facts and figures and it has over 5,000 page views for such a short period of time.

Linking back to your site

It is the most important thing to remember. An article without a link back to your site is no use at all. Article directories or e-zines might not accept live links on articles but the signature or author bio section is what you should look forward into. Write a short description and put a back link straight to your site or sales page.
