Low Budget Affiliate Marketing Through PPC, Part 2

March 26, 2008 by zam

Okay now that I have covered the bad things and don’t on the previous post, its time I’m going to look at budget saving methods of affiliate marketing. Although SEO is the best method you can look forward to build long term traffic for your niche site, PPC is indeed an effective time consuming method.

Every affiliate marketer should look forward to be a PPC master and there are ways you can build a great campaign on a low budget.

Slow and Steady

Patience, my friend is a great virtue. There are a lot of ways you can make money on a limited budget, doing it slowly is the only best option available. Set your daily budget at what you can afford. Do modifications to your keyword list if needed. It may take a much longer time to accumulate data and optimize but it’s worth waiting.

Utilizing the vouchers

You can always find those free vouchers to start with. Yahoo is always offering free voucher options so that you can learn the system without shelling a lot of bucks. You can use yahoo vouchers as many times as you want. To get a $100 voucher, you only have to deposit $30 into your account. You can however setup 10 accounts and may be get a free $1000 in clicks to test out your campaign. Setup a real campaign with keywords/landing pages and then you can scale it out with a credit card.

Keywords

Don’t always go for the first place of google. Sometimes being in 3 rd or 4th place makes more sales than in 1st position. It is a lot cheaper too. Look for the long tail keywords that is related to your product or describes your product very precisely. Try to utilize the negative keywords, may be you can find the goldmine with them.

Cheap traffic sources

Google is like a hungry shark and requires a bit of money to get rolling in. But that surely doesn’t mean you don’t need to play with Google adwords. Besides, it’s where traffic is at. I say go with yahoo, it is cheaper and better converting than Google. MSN is even cheaper than yahoo. Other advertising networks like Kontera, Ask, Bidvertiser, Advertising etc are all can be cheap but the traffic quality sometimes sucks.

Free Advertising sites

I don’t think free advertising is the way to go. You can start with them but they are of no use. I have tested a few of them but had no luck at all and can’t say free advertising will do the job PPC does. When it is about affiliate marketing, It’s about quality and targeted traffic which is hard to find with free advertising.

Do Not Give Up!

It can be time consuming and costly to run a campaign but testing and tweaking the system is the way to go. Don’t give up. Work on your campaign, look for new keywords, edit your landing page if needed and know you are all set right after you get the first sale.

How do you make money from affiliate marketing when you have very low PPC budget? Having low PPC budget sucks big time if you want to jump in PPC marketing right away but not enough fund to fuel your dream. While I was searching for expert opinion about this question, I came across various forum threads, blogs and sites loaded with tons of simply awesome information. It didn’t take me that long to figure out the answer of my question. So join me to find out the answer yourself.

PPC and affiliate marketing can be the best money making match if played perfectly. While PPC can make you fortune, it indeed can suck your bank empty! So you have to be very careful. The first piece of advice goes as,

1. Don’t be afraid to lose a lot of your hard earned cash2. Be prepared to spend a lot of money

3. Don’t get lazy and always try to find what works best

4. Don’t freaking give up!

Makes sense ehh?

Unfortunately not every of you dudes might have the capital to invest initially, credit cards can be a good option if you know how to manage your money very well. while credit cards can be a good source to fuel your thrust, don’t ever get buried under the bills.

1. Keep track of your spending

2. Always keep an eye just so you stop it right away if something goes wrong

3. Calculate your spendings, your credit limit and your profit.

4. Control the Chain reaction, don’t let it control you.

5. Stop your campaign if it is ripping you off. I don’t want you to get ripped off and kick your ass later. I however want you to be a successful PPC gamer.

The best advice can be to start with low budget because you know your limits and you don’t over spend your money. Being in low budget allows you to find out the way you can profit from that tiny budget (the secret to make lots of cash), improve your findings and there you go you have the secret!

The Don’ts

1. Don’t make your bids ridiculously low just so you blow your budget as well as your campaign.

2. If you don’t have a good idea about a niche, do not choose high paid offers on that niche. While $50 is good cash, a $50 offer might not convert that well before you blow out your budget.

3. Learn your niche.

4. Build a landing page that works.

5. Try to get some organic traffic. SEO optimize your landing page and submit articles to EzineArticles.com.

6. Make sure your site/landing page is working good. Check out if all the linking codes, pixels, trackings are working. Make sure all the clicks are showing up in your affiliate control panel.

7. Start the campaign and don’t forget to track every single stuffs you can.

8. Try to tweak your landing page every other week. A single tweak can increase your conversion rate of up to 20%!

Lets stop the reading here and make sure you understand what I mean to say and. I’ll be seeing you with the final part of this series of blog posts with some rock solid advices tomorrow. So make sure you keep an eye on this blog for tomorrows post.

Kimi Raikkonen Wins 2008 Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix

After a disastrous race for both the Ferrari and Kimi on Melbourne, Kimi Raikkonen wins in Malaysia, Robert Kubica finished second and McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen came in third, while his team mate Lewis Hamilton, the Australian GP winner finished fifth. Fernando Alonso finished 7th!

It was a bad day for Felippe Massa. On his 31 lap he spins out of track and left the place open for Robert Kubica. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were straggling really hard to make it to the pole but bad for them, they just couldn’t make it. Once again it was an awesome day for my man Kimi. The car was perfect as well as the track, just another easy win for Kimi.

The track in Malaysian is a brilliant one. It is indeed a beautiful fast track which allows you to go flat out listening to the sound of those engines roaring at their limits. It was absolutely thrilling to watch the onboard camera view of the car that is already speeding over 300 Km/h!
Here is the complete list,
