Has anyone told you that StumbleUpon rocks? StumbleUpon can send you more traffic. Unlike digg and del.icio.us your item doesn’t need to become popular before you get immediate traffic. One or two votes can potentially bring in hundreds or more readers instantly.

So how do you bring more StumbleUpon users? Well I’ll try to get you some tips so you can work yourself out.

Channel Surfing The Internet

Don’t you flick through TV channels back and forth until you find something interesting to watch? StumbleUpon users are, however, notoriously fickle. StumbleUpon is basically a service that allows its users to channel surf the internet. The decision whether to say on your site or move else where is taken within the first 3 seconds. This is why you need to make sure you have at least something that can make them stay at your blog.

Let Your Visitors Know What Your Blog Is All About

This is important. Try to define it with a one or two sentence description of what your blog is all about. The title should communicate a lot of information in only a few words. If a stumbler finds the subject is within his interest he will more likely to stick around.

Visual Impression

Having an interesting image or an interesting video can always attract the eye balls. I figured fancy heading images or images with cash and ladies are good to attract attention.

Having Valuable Content

The thing that really matters after heading and catchy images should be the content of your blog. Your users will only be available for a while and will leave if your content is crap and offers no good read. While surfing through the TV channels do you stay on a channel that offers nothing to watch? So try to have valuable content that can make an user sticking to your blog.

A Nice Theme

No matter what another dumb from the street says, a nice theme is always a magnet. Having a good clean theme helps your visitors to feel comfortable to stay. Don’t mess your blog with too much graphics, ads and stuffs like that. Nobody likes a blog full of crappy advertisement. A blog full of crappy advertisement only gives poor impression which sure you don’t want.

Be Unique

Every one likes unique stuffs. Being unique will allow you to be a hero and will get you more traffic. Do you know why superman is that much popular? Because he wears his underwear outside which is indeed an unique thing to watch!
